The Carmen’s signature feature: a Gates Drive belt that replaces the traditional chain. Clean, quiet, and ultra-durable, it won’t rust, break, or stain your hands and clothing.
Three speeds is all you need. Gear 1 for hills, Gear 2 for flat cruising, and Gear 3 to pick up the pace. Shimano’s Nexus hub is known for reliability, smooth shifting, and minimal maintenance—perfect for everyday riders.

Is the Carmen an aggressive fit?
No—the Carmen’s mid-step frame and upright geometry are designed for comfort and ease. You’ll get a smooth, efficient pedal stroke without overreaching or putting stress on your back and wrists. The lower, step-through design also makes mounting and dismounting simple and confidence-inspiring. Be sure to check the size chart to confirm your best fit.
Is the Gates Carbon Drive good in the rain?
The Gates Carbon Drive Belt and internal gearing are as weather-proof as you are! Sometimes in a lot of grit, you might hear some rubbing when the belt dries- it’s just a little dirt- spray some water on and 99% of the time it goes away while continuing to be super smooth and simple!
