Why Proper Saddle Height Matters

Maximize Comfort for Your Guests

Creating a comfortable and enjoyable ride experience starts with one simple adjustment: proper saddle height. Whether your guests are heading out for a casual cruise around town or enjoying a day of family fun, taking a moment to correctly size their bike can make a big difference in both comfort and safety.

Your fleet of Priority bicycles, will come equipped with a quick release clamp for your seat post to easily adjust saddle heights. A properly adjusted saddle helps riders feel more stable, pedal more efficiently, and enjoy a safer experience overall. Incorrect saddle height can lead to discomfort, poor control, or unnecessary strain during the ride. By helping guests make a quick adjustment before they ride, you can improve their comfort, boost safety, and create a more fun and memorable experience for everyone.

Some Saddle Height Adjustment Tips

Here's a quick, step by step guide to adjusting saddle height on the fly for your guests on your Priority bikes so your guests can ride with confidence and ease.

Step One: Disengage the quick release clamp on the seat post. By disengaging this, you can quickly move the saddle up and down to match the guests' height.

Step Two: Size the saddle to the guest. When sizing the bike to a guest, a good place to start is at the hipbone. You want the hipbone to be roughly aligned with the top of the saddle. Once the seat post is adjusted, snap the quick release back in to lock in its position.

Step Three: Check Guest Comfort and Fit. After adjusting the saddle height, have the guest sit on the saddle. Ideally, the guest should just have a tip toe touching the floor. If the foot is flat on the floor, the saddle is too low. And if the guest can't comfortably reach the floor at all, then the saddle is definitely too high. When in doubt, go on the lower side, not the higher side.

When in Doubt, Go Low!

After making these adjustments, your guest should be able to comfortably and safely ride your Priority bike to their heart's content! To reiterate, whenever in doubt, go lower on the saddle height, not higher.
