Product Line - CDX vs. CDX:SL vs. CDX:BLACK vs. CDC

Wondering what the differences between these are? CDX is the most premier tier of Gates sprockets using stainless steel for maximum life and durability. CDX:SL is a lighter weight option using aluminum which has a lower but still exceptional wear life when compared to chain drive systems. CDX:BLACK uses oxide coated chromoly for the wear life of CDX at the expense of some of the all weather conditions durability you get with stainless steel. CDX:BLACK sprockets also feature the newest design of CenterTrack fin which improve dirt and debris shedding ability. CDC sprockets use an electroless nickel plated steel alloy for economic replacement while offering similar levels of oxidation resistance to CDX.

Note: If you change sprocket size, you may have to change belt size. Click here for a helpful resource from Gates to help determine if you need a different belt when modifying the stock gearing on your bicycle.
