Front suspension, wide, knobby tires and a powerful motor give you permission to let loose and play like never before. Hop a curb, blow through a pothole, or rip a berm without a second thought — the capability is just there when you want it.
Most e-bikes sense only one or the other. The E-Sauce senses both, so power delivery feels natural below 20mph and effortless above, giving you the best of both worlds. Plus a handlebar-mounted throttle for instant power the moment you want it.
Single-speed, just like the original Sauce, paired with a Gates Carbon Drive belt. No lubrication, no rust, no day-to-day upkeep — and it lasts two to three times longer than a standard chain, so you can hop on and go.
The first bike to use our Headway cargo mount up front, a rack that attaches directly to the head tube independent of the steering, so loading up doesn't weigh down the steering. Out back, standard rack mounts mean the ability to add MIK compatibility.
A handlebar-mounted front light and a seat post-integrated rear light mean you're covered for late nights on the trail or a ride home after the sun's down.
A large 720Wh battery mounted in the down tube means you can go further without watching the battery meter — ride to work, back, and then some, without a second thought.

The E-Sauce is built with a Headway mount, the front-cargo connection in Priority’s Modular Cargo System. Add the Headway Front Cargo Rack, sold separately, and your E-Sauce carries up to 55 lbs up front, from groceries to a cooler to gear for the weekend.

Is the E-Sauce UL 2271 or UL 2849 certified?
Yep — the E-Sauce is fully covered on both fronts. UL 2271 applies to the battery system and UL 2849 applies to the full e-bike drive system, including the motor, and the E-Sauce is certified for both.
What are the widest tires that fit on the E-Sauce?
The E-Sauce comes with WTB Intersector 27.5 x 2.4" tires, a knobby tread built for grip and control on pavement, gravel, and trail. With no fenders in the way, you can fit tires up to 2.6" wide for even more cushion and traction. Because tire sizing can vary by brand, we suggest working with a local bike shop if you choose to go wider.
Can I mount a dropper post?
No, the E-Sauce doesn’t have internal routing for a dropper post, so it isn’t compatible with one. The seatpost also houses the integrated rear light, so swapping it out would mean losing your rear light.
What class is the E-Sauce, and how fast can it go?
The E-Sauce ships as a Class 2 e-bike, with a throttle and a 20mph speed limit. Class settings can be adjusted by the rider to comply with local regulations. Please be sure to operate within your local jurisdiction’s laws and trail rules, since e-bike regulations vary by location. What's the battery range?
The E-Sauce’s 720Wh battery is built to keep range anxiety off the table. We’ve tested the E-Sauce to deliver a range of 20-60 miles per charge, depending on assist level, terrain, rider weight, speed, and use of the throttle.
Is the E-Sauce really just one gear?
Yep — single speed, on purpose. Just like the original Sauce, it's paired with a Gates Belt Drive for the simplest, lowest-maintenance ride possible: no lubrication, no rust, and it lasts two to three times longer than a standard chain. Less to think about, more time riding.
We recommend sizing your E-Sauce based on your inseam—measured from the top of your crotch to the ground with your shoes off—for the most accurate fit.
