The Priority Team went out to Los Angeles to host a test ride event at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. It was a great way to connect with the community, introduce our bicycles to people in the LA area and also to meet our Kickstarter backers and early adopters. Members of the Priority Team - CEO & Founder Dave Weiner, Connor Swegle, and Lauren Jones - hosted the event, showing visitors the bicycles and setting them up for a quick ride around Santa Monica. The team was grateful to be able to connect with previous backers and hear about their adventures with Priority so far.

The test rides highlighted that Priority Bicycles is helping to solve a problem that many people who ride and live in a beach community face: environment.  While beautiful, the wet, salty air can wear down a bike.  Our belt drive holds up extremely well in salty air, as do the internal gears. Many features of the bicycle are rust-resistant, making it a great bicycle for beach-goers.

Those at the event who had never ridden the bicycle loved the smooth ride of the bike and the easy shifting between gears. Some were hesitant about the coaster brakes at first, but after riding for a few blocks, the braking felt more natural.

The Priority Team wants to say thank you to everybody who came out to our test ride event in Santa Monica. It was so wonderful to meet everyone, our original backers, and everyone new to the Priority community. Further, it was so special to see everyone bring by his or her own bikes, and share their story. Also, thank you to everyone who shared the event information with their friends and invited others to come out.
